At the end of 2011, we started to brainstorm on what other activities we could do over the course of the year. One idea was to make para cord bracelets to raise money for a couple of different charities based on the trade shows and game events we would be attending. With SHOT2012 the first trade show, closely followed by TAC2012 (an airsoft trade show located in Toronto Canada), it was clear that OD, tan, coyote and black were the colors of choice. Once again Wounded Warrior would be the recipient of all money raised through this activity.
The two companies that BB Bastard and Stillwater Consulting purchased para cord from (Paracord King and CanCord) were kind enough to offer reduced pricing, quick delivery and exceptional customer service. A second donation of 2,000 ft arrived from Urban Ops Armoury and Jean “Testtube” Paquette. This will be a continued activity over the course of the year with 100% of all money raised going to Wounded Warrior.
Additionally, red and white para cord was also included in the initial order – these will be used to create bracelets offered at the 60th Annual Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs Conference in Toronto Canada. The donations raised from these items will be given to the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
